Here's to 2009

I can't believe that this is the last day of 2008!!! Time has just flown by since Breven came! Matt and I hope that 2009 will bring us many new adventures... maybe another baby! I guess we will have to keep you posted on that one! We also hope that this year is good to all of our family and friends. We thank you all for being a part of our lives and the good times and memories in 2008!

I am trying to teach Breven how to walk. All he wants to do is hop so I am trying to show him that he can move one foot, then the other.

Watcha doin' ??

Playing with Mommy and Daddy!

Breven loves his Bumbo chair!

Here is our friend Melanie that flew in from Florida and stayed with us a couple of nights. We have not seen her since the wedding so it was a GREAT Christmas present to have her here!!!

Matt and I stole her camera to take some pictures!

Nothing like and early morning jump!

Here are some pictures of Christmas day at Matts parents house. Breven had the famous onion dip for the first time. I wish I had gotten this on camera because he didnt know what to think at first, but I think he liked it. He loves trying new foods especially at Grandma Laurie and Grandpa Jeff's house!

Opening his first Christmas presents with Daddy!

Here are the Olsen boys/men. can you say TROUBLE???!!!!

Kori and Zach.. I love this picture!

Here is Breven having a great time with his cousin Breanna. Maybe he does get his big blue eyes from Matt's family!

Cousin Breanna and Aunt Kori

Grandma Laurie feeding Breven nummy baby food.

Breven was a lucky boy and got to open a present early. It was meant for him to crawl after, but chewing on it is much more fun!

He is sooo close to crawling.. we can't wait!

Here is a video that is kind of embarassing but we get a pretty good laugh from it so we thought we would share it with you all. The story behind it is that Melanie had gone outside so Matt and I tried to steal her camera and take a quick picture... well we didnt know how to use her camera and we ended up taking a video instead. The funniest part is how Matt doesnt move his lips at all when he is talking and then how we pose at the end waiting for the flash to go off... enjoy!

Twas the night before Christmas

Christmas Eve we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa's house and we had a lot of fun. Like always the food was delicious and the family was hungry! It is super cute because all of Breven's older cousins just love having him around. I can tell that they can wait for him to be a little older so they can interact with him more.

Me and my GREAT Uncle Eddie

Big hugs for Erica

King of the cousins!

Me and my cousin Cole are almost the same size!

Great Uncle Roger passing down his wisdom to both the kids... uh oh!

Here is Andrew he is a part of the Troublesome Trio. I am sure that he will be the ringleader as Cole and Breven get older!

After Grandma and Grandpa's we went to celebrate with Grandpa Mark and his family.

I love my Grandpa!

Then my uncle Mike showed up YAY!
Falling fast asleep with my aunt Crystal and uncle Mike
These two are going to be trouble together one day!

That brings us to today.... I woke up this morning with some crazy hair. Mommy had to take a picture because it is one of the few times you can see it!

Dip in the Kettle

On Saturday we went to Fred and Gail's to celebrate the annual "Dip in the Kettle". It is a tradition that my family has where you dip bread into a kettle then put delicious meat on top. It was fun to see the babies in my family that are around the same age as Breven. There are 4 babies that range from 5-7 months 3 boys and 1 girl. There was also another baby girl that was just born on December 16th so next year there are going to be a lot of little ones running around. We had a ton of fun! Make sure to check out the video at the bottom of the post!

Here is part of the family in rotation for some good food.
Breven was so worn out he needed a little cat nap.

Here is Grandpa Dean relaxing.... I love this man!

Breven's cousin Cole.. I think it is safe to say that he has caught up now..

Auntie Tanya with Cole

Jim and Erica

Grandma Myrna and her sister Nea

I was so lucky to get this on video!!!! You can tell that Breven is trying his hardest to keep the Nuk in his mouth on the 3rd time... I don't think he could have sucked harder if he tried. The other baby is Sabastian and they are sitting Gary's lap getting to meet on another.
LMAO!!!!
Breven had his 6 month check up on the 16th and he got a clean bill of health. He weighed 15lbs 13oz and was 26.25 inches long. He has been loving his big boy food and is ALWAYS ready to eat. So far he has had peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, carrots, and squash... tomorrow he will get to try his first fruit! It is so cool to see him turn into more of a little boy than a baby.
Also on Saturday we had our friend Melanie fly in from Florida and stay with us for the night. We have not seen her since the wedding and it was really great to catch up with her. We took pictures, but they are on her camera so we will post them later for you all to see.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Breakfast With Santa

Saturday morning we went to meet Santa for the first time! We got to share the experience with Laurie, Nick, Kali, Aiden, Landen, Zach, Emma and of course Daddy! Breven had such a good time but I don't think he knew what to think of Santa! He has also officially said his first word Da-Da! You can hear him say it in the video at the bottom of the post.
