Family outing

Yesterday we had a ton of fun taking Breven to the Isanti County Fair. He was in such a good mood all day. We met up with Nick and Kali and their kids Aiden and Landen. It is a lot of fun getting together with the cousins because Breven doesn't have any on my side of the family (yet....hurry up Jolene). I remember how much fun I had with my cousins growing up and it is pretty cool that he will have that too. We must have been distracted because even though we brought both the camera and the video camera we failed to take any pictures or video of him (sorry). We did take a couple of pictures of his big cousin Aiden though.

Here is Aiden catching some fish for a prize

Aiden's first ride without Mommy or Daddy! Go Aiden!

Well here is a couple new pictures of Breven. Daddy has a lot of free time this week so there will be many more soon.

He LOVES to be held like this! Too cute.

Fun in the sun

Well Breven is taking a nap this morning so I was able to get outside and play with the dogs a little bit. We plan on taking Breven for his first walk tonight after dinner so that should be fun. I am also hoping to get him outside today to hang out for a little while. If all goes well there will be more pictures posted tomorrow.
Here's a picture of our land we didn't get it hayed this year so the dogs LOVE running through the tall grass.

A pain in the gas...

We had a nice weekend hanging out with Dad. On Friday we did some yard work and went out to lunch. Saturday my Uncle Ed brought some firewood up to our house, then we went to visit our friends Luke and Tasha. We hung out with them and their kids, Matthew and Nathan, and had a BBQ. Nathan is only 3 weeks older then Breven so it was neat to get them together for a little play date. It was a lot of fun, but Breven was not a happy camper. He was a little gassy so we stopped at the store on the way home and got some gas drops and that helped tremendously (thanks Tasha)! Saturday night Breven slept 8 hours straight and then 3 more hours after he ate. It was like heaven. Yesterday we did some grocery shopping and hung out at home and relaxed, which was the perfect way to end the weekend.

We'll keep updating.. here's some pics

I love my bouncy chair

Wish you could hear me ... I coo like crazy now!

Nothing is better then hanging out with Dad!

Nothing too new...

Well, not too much to update but there is a little. Mom went in for her dentist appointment today and it just so happened to be right by Great Grandma and Grandpa's house. Well, obviously, Breven could not join her for her much anticipated appointment. Great Grandma and Grandpa were so willing to baby sit for mommy.

After splashing around with 4oz of milk and making sure that it wasnt too hot, Great Grandpa Dean decided to feed Breven what was left of the milk. (About 3oz, just kidding) Well dad showed up after work it was NAKEE TIME for Breven. (For some odd reason, we think that he likes his Nakee Time)

This is his Nakee Time right before Mom and Dad left

So hot it hurts.....

Not much new is going on here, just some more pics to show you all. We are looking forward to the weekend because Dad doesn't have to work. We don't have any plans yet, but hopefully the weather will be nice and we can hang out outside and have a bonfire.

It's Great Grandpa Dean's birthday today so we are going to call and sing "Happy Birthday" to him. I'm sure that he will enjoy that, Breven is definately the apple of his eye. I have officially been replaced! Grandpa says "with a middle name (Dean) like that he can't go wrong!"

Well, thats all for now. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

I want my baby back ribs....I want my Chili's baby back ribs .....barbeque sauce

My Grandma Laurie gave me this outfit because I really am "Hot Stuff" (too funny)

Our pride, our joy

One month old!

Can you believe it? Breven is 4 weeks old today! Our lives have changed so much this last month, it feels like a whirl wind.. It is so awesome to watch him change on a daily basis. He can now hold his head up on his own and he is "talking" more and more everyday. He has found his leg muscles and likes to stand up. He is sleeping well and smiling often, so we must be doing something right.

The dogs have been really good and don't seem to mind having him around. The new thing that they have started doing this past week is to check on him when he cries. They tend to get to him quicker then I can. They do what I call walk-by-kisses and are able to sneak quite a few in everyday. I think that Breven likes the kisses, which is a good thing living in this house.

This weekend was filled with lots of new people. On Saturday we went to a birthday party at Chris and Sue's house. We had a really good time there and Breven was pretty laid back. Then yesterday we went to my cousin Jolene's baby shower where he got to meet lots of people including Great Aunt Cindy. We are excited for her to have her baby boy in September so Breven will have somebody to play with on my side of the family. Grandma Myrna and Grandpa Dean went from no great grandchildren to 2 in just a couple of months... how exciting! Another generation of Lauderbaughs ... WATCH OUT WORLD!

Well he's waking up now and it's a beautiful day out so we are going to go enjoy it!

Here's some new pics...

The "Babysitters Club" of 2008.. they're cool and they drool! (I know I'm a dork)

So much to do... So little time...

Sorry it has been so long since an update, but we have been busy, busy, busy.

We went to Bemidji for my family reunion over the 4th of July. Breven got to meet lots of "greats"... his great uncles, great aunts, great great aunt, great great uncle, and his great great great aunt. He also got to meet several cousins and hang out with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. We came back home a little early to enjoy some of Matt's time off of work, but we had a good time there. We will be going back before the summer is over to meet even more of the family.

Breven with his Great Great Great Aunt Bernice

We also went to the doctor a week ago and our little boy is getting BIG! He was up to 8lbs 13oz! Man oh man do they grow fast. The doctor gave him a clean bill of health and we will be going back again in about a month to get another check up. I am amazed at how much he has changed, every day we notice something new. He now knows how to use a Nuk and drink out of a bottle and he does that about once a day. I am excited for this, and hope to have a Girl's Night Out sometime soon. He is also staying awake for longer periods of time and seems to be less fussy when his is awake. He is getting strong and is holding his head up more and more each day. We have been starting to pack away a lot of his 0-3 month sleepers because he is too long for them and his feet are so big he now unable to uncurl his little toes.

Since he has been growing so fast I figured I better get some pictures of him in his bear outfit that he got from his Aunt Kali and Uncle Nick before he outgrows it. I took these today and I don't think he enjoyed it as much as I did...

This is the first picture (we had to keep the Nuk in, but he was a good sport)

Here is a full body shot (still pretty happy)

THEN WE TOOK OUT THE NUK... UH OH

GRUMPY BEAR HAS ARRIVED

Then we took off the outfit...

I was glad I was able to get these pictures, because the outfit was already getting too small. Here are a few pictures, we will post many more soon...

Here's Clyde getting into mischief as usual..

Here's the two trouble makers of the family... (I asked him to change a diaper and this was what I found when I went into the room.. J/K)

I've got to go for now...We will update more often, so keep on checking out the blog!
