Breven's Big Smile!

Grandma and Grandpa came home early from their vacation to see their newest addition to the family on Tuesday 6/24/08. Grandma had to buy him a new outfit and a cool new bath toy! Oh boy how fun! They brought over some pork chops and some dip to eat for dinner. Thank you, it was really good! And of course, the dip is already gone... While they were here, Grandpa took the greatest picture ever of Breven.......He was just so happy to finally meet them! Perfect timing Grandpa! This morning we woke up and saw that he has a little tiny eye infection and he has a doctor appointment for it tomorrow to make sure that it isn't anything too serious and maybe get some antibiotics. After the doctor appointment, we have to drop off some paperwork at work tomorrow and we plan on showing him off if he isn't too crabby.

So far today has gone very well. Katie and I got to do some grocery shopping and some cleaning of our ever so dirty barn. We have so much junk but so little time... It was nice getting some of the stuff out of there that we want to get "rid of" like the 2 couches that have been sitting in there for a year now. I will post some pictures of when we have the next bonfire...hehe.

Here is a picture of our new puppy Clyde:

And him dead asleep after playing all day with the big boys:

He is our dog Jake's son and is exactly like him. He has already inherited some nicknames such as: Los Bugar, Little Terrorist and my favorite Klepto Clyde. Clyde has found the small pool that we have outside for the dogs and loves it! There is only one problem... He thinks that his water bowl in the kitchen is his pool inside... Since we have 4 dogs, we have a 5 gallon water bowl to have them drink out of. Imagine, water all over your kitchen floor because a little puppy wanted to go swimming... Ugh! Ding dong. Below is a picture of father Jake and son Clyde...

I will post some pictures of all of the "Boys" when I can get a few good ones!

Learning Curve...

Finally, after 3 hours of sitting in front of my computer, fiddling with Adobe Photoshop, I figured out how to manipulate a photo to look the way that I want it to. I have a feeling that there will be many more hours of sitting in front of this stupid computer figuring out more ways to play with the pictures.

Enough about my eventfull day, this picture was taken right after I had handed Breven to Katie. Everyone says that he looks exactly like me, which I don't mind. As he grows up, he won't either, because he will be fighting all of the girls off of him at the playground. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...
Last night was another sleepless night. Breven kept crying and crying for mom to feed him but when she did, he fell asleep and 10 minutes later, he woke up crying for mom again.
I had talked to my friend Lisa today and realized that Breven was born on her birthday. Sorry Lisa, things have been a little crazy around here!

Here is a picture of my sister Kori and Breven. Kori and the kids were nice enough to make me and Katie some lasagna for dinner so that we wouldn't have to cook the day after we brought him home. Thanks Kori!

Eddie and the kids came up to see him yesterday. Breven was to busy eating to find much time to visit with anyone. So, sorry there aren't more photos.

Things will get better the older that he gets.
Again, more pictures are coming, I just need to find the time to do it. Check back often!

Baby Breven is finally here!

I have been trying to find a way to let everyone know what is going on with Breven and this is the best way that I could find. Thanks Kali for showing us this.

Breven was FINALLY born on June 16th at 8:08pm. He was weighing in at 8lbs 2oz and was 21.5 inches long. We have had him home for 2 nights now and I am worn out. The first night was perfect. He was fed every 2 hours and slept between feedings. Katie and I must have done something wrong yesterday because he refused to sleep last night. He wasn't hungry and was tired. But he finally fell asleep at 4:00 in the morning.

It is now 5:00 at night and he is sleeping like a log. For some reason, I think that tonight will be the same way.

Other than him not wanting to sleep at the right time, he is doing very well. He already has a favorite blanket and the boys don't seem to mind him. I will post some pictures as soon as I can figure out how...

We will post again soon!
