Attacka of the Alpaca

So here is one of our newest arrivals. So far we have 6 alpacas and 1 llama. We will be getting 18 more alpacas this weekend (I think). There is only 1 llama because she is there to protect the alpacas from any danger. You can see her in the picture below, she is the one with the white head.

They are loving all of the grass in the field. Usually they only get hay fed, so for them to have grass and clover that is still alive is a BIG treat!

These are the 6 females that we have right now.

So last weekend we went to Brainerd for Matt's cousin's wedding. We stayed at a really nice resort (Good Ol' Days Resort) where we could walk right from our room down to the lake. Unfortunately we only spent one night there, but plan on returning for a longer stay sometime in the future. We had a really good time and it was nice for Matt's family to be able to meet Breven. He slept the entire time we were at the reception, through the music and all!
Breven had his 2 month check up on Monday and he is now 10 pounds 13 ounces and 22 1/4 inches long. He was supposed to get his shots, but he was only 56 days old and he has to be at least 60 days old before he can get his shots, so we will be going back next week. The doctor said that he is doing really well and is doing things that babies his age don't usually do. He is able to hold his head up when you put him in a sitting position by pulling him up by his arms. He is also really close to being able to roll over which they usually do at 4 months old. Other than the shots his next appointment will be when he is 4 months old. Here are a couple of pictures of him in his new outfit...

I love his smile!
He just woke up from his nap and is crying so we will post again very soon!
